What began as a joyous day of celebration in Egypt’s Aswan Governorate ended in unimaginable tragedy when a groom collapsed and died while dancing with his bride in front of stunned family and friends.
The groom, identified as Ashraf Abu Hakam, had moments earlier been seen smiling, laughing, and holding hands with his new wife as they performed the traditional Egyptian Saidi dance, waving Saidi sticks in rhythm with the music. Guests clapped and cheered as the couple showcased their happiness on the dance floor.
But in a shocking twist, the festivities were cut short when Hakam suddenly collapsed mid-dance, falling to the floor while still holding his wife’s hand. Guests, initially in disbelief, quickly rushed to his aid as the music gave way to chaos, screams, and gasps filling the hall. Footage of the incident captured the heartbreaking scene, showing relatives desperately trying to revive him.
Despite frantic efforts, attempts to save his life were unsuccessful. Doctors later confirmed that the young groom had suffered a sudden cardiac arrest, which proved fatal.
