Green Ghana Project:Nkawie forest reserve Division exceeded target of planting 429,723 trees

The Nkawie forest Service Division manager of Forestry commission, Mr Abraham Essel has hinted that, the division has exceeded its target of planting 429,724 trees for 2024 Green Ghana Project showing significant cooperation between key stakeholders and forestry commission in the division.

According to him, Nkawie forest division targets to plant 340,000 tree seedlings this year but has managed to planted over 429,723 trees.

He maintained that, these three were planted along some river bodies as a means of focusing on protecting all river bodies in its political districts.

He used the occasion to appealed to key stakeholders to help protect our water bodies and trees in the forest reserve for future generations.

The occasion of this year event saw key stakeholders like traditional leaders, staff of municipal assembly,assembly members, public servants, students, traders and individuals.
