The District Manager of forestry Commission Nkawie Division, Mr. NIFAASOYIR CHRISANTUS has urged Ghanaians especially the residents of Atwima to invest in planting trees to help sustain the environment.
In line with the Green Ghana initiative, the Nkawie Division incorporation with four Municipal/District of the Ashanti Region, Atwima Mponua, Atwima Kwanwoma, Atwima Nwabiagya South, Atwima Nwabiagya North to plant 550,000 trees in various sites and location covering Educational institutions, palaces, homes, communities, Churches, streets boundaries areas, forest and other places.
According to Mr. CHRISANTUS, the second edition of mega Green Ghana project would focusing on Forest as far as his territories are concern.
He added that, the first edition was successful through some trees are not successful.
He pleaded to the general public to get involve in Green Ghana project.
The Green Ghana project slated on Friday, 10th June 2022
The exercise will take off at all the 275 Constituencies in Ghana.
