
In a landmark initiative to advance agricultural education and professional development, the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, led by Hon. Eric Opoku, has entered into a strategic collaboration with GIDA VE TARIM University in Turkey. This partnership, formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of Ghana, promises to create transformative opportunities for Ghanaian students and professionals in the agricultural sector.
The collaboration introduces a scholarship program aimed at equipping Ghanaian students with advanced knowledge and practical skills in modern agriculture. Through this initiative, participants will have access to high-quality education in various agriculture-related disciplines, enabling them to develop expertise that will contribute directly to the growth and modernization of Ghana’s agro-industrial sector.

GIDA VE TARIM University, renowned for its excellence in agricultural studies, will work closely with the Ministry to ensure that the program delivers international-standard education, practical training, and research exposure. The partnership is designed to strengthen capacity building, innovation, and technical proficiency among Ghanaian agriculturists.

Hon.
