As part of activities marking the centenary of the Kyebi Government Hospital, the Director-General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr. Samuel Kaba Akoriyea, paid a working visit to the facility. The visit underscores the Ghana Health Service’s commitment to supporting healthcare institutions and strengthening service delivery across the country.

During the tour, Dr. Akoriyea interacted with hospital staff, assessed ongoing projects, and reviewed plans to enhance healthcare services for the local community. Later today, Dr. Akoriyea is scheduled to serve as the Guest of Honour at the official launch and fundraising event for the centenary celebrations, which will be held at the Kyebi Presbyterian College of Education. The event aims to mobilize resources to further develop the hospital’s infrastructure, acquire essential medical equipment, and enhance overall service delivery for patients.

Speaking ahead of the launch, Dr. Akoriyea highlighted the hospital’s significant contribution to healthcare in the region over the past 100 years and reiterated GHS’s commitment to supporting institutions that serve as pillars of community health.
