GHANA WATER LTD. RESTORES WATER SUPPLY TO THE GREATER KUMASI AREA

Management of Ghana Water Limited (GWL), Ashanti Region, wishes to announce the successful restoration of water supply from Barekese WTP, today, Wednesday, 19th March 2025, following a recent shutdown aimed at addressing operational challenges at the Suame Roundabout. This maintenance was necessary to ensure the continued reliability of the water supply amidst ongoing construction projects in the region.

Management extends heartfelt appreciation to the Regional Minister for the Ashanti Region, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, for his unwavering support and guidance throughout this process. His involvement has been crucial in facilitating a smooth resolution to the challenges faced.

Despite the restoration of the water supply, we would like to inform our valued customers that it may take a few hours for water pressure to stabilize across the network. While some customers may experience a return of service shortly, others may encounter delays as pressure levels build to optimal distribution levels. We sincerely appreciate our customers’ patience and understanding during the period of the shutdown.

Management remains committed to providing reliable water services to our communities and values the support of our customers as we continue to work diligently to ensure that every customer receives water supply.

We appreciate your continued loyalty and trust in Ghana Water Limited.

END.
