The Dormaa Forest Commission has arrested four illegal Chainsaw operators in the Mpameso Forest reserve in the Dormaa Central Municipality of the Bono Region.
The four were arrested by the forest service taskforce together with the security services when suspects were operating in the Mpameso Forest.
The suspects include Gideon Yeboah -34 years,kyere kwaku- 42 years, Gabriel kyere- 21years and Kyeremeh peter – 29 years.
In addition to the arrest two chainsaw Machine have been Confiscated while the suspects have been handed over to the Dormaa Divisional police Command for prosecution.
The District Manager of Dormaa Forest,Mr Ebenezer Mansah Confirming the news to PeaceFM Correspondent Oteng Apau of DormaaFM,said they had a tip off that gang of illegal Chainsaw operators have invaded in the Mpameso Forest and usually operate in the night .
Again,Mr Ebenezer Mensah appealed to the Chiefs, Assembly members, individuals residing along the forest to help fight against illegal Chainsaw operators .
