In a gesture of goodwill and tradition, the king of Gonjaland Traditional Council, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I, has paid a courtesy call on president John Dramani Mahama to congratulate him after a successful investiture.
The historic meeting took place at the Jubilee House, marking a significant moment in Ghana’s transition of power.
The high-powered delegation made of the king, some paramount chiefs and entire courtiers was led by the former Northern Regional Minister Alhaji Muniru Limuna to the Jubilee House to pay a courtesy call on Ghana’s new president on his inauguration.
Hon Alhaji Muniru Limuna on behalf of the king relayed their message to the president.
For his part, the president Excellence John Dramani Mahama commended the king and his entourage for his goodwill, support and prayers.
