The former Member of Parliament (MP) for Twifo Atti Morkwa Constituency, Mr. Abraham Dwumah Odoom, has officially declared his unwavering support for Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, describing him as the most capable and visionary leader to steer the affairs of Ghana and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into a prosperous future.

Speaking in an interview with the media, the former legislator and seasoned development expert emphasized that Hon. Kennedy Agyapong’s fearless, straightforward, and truth-driven nature sets him apart from other political figures in the country. According to him, Ghana is in dire need of a leader who possesses the courage to make difficult decisions, speak truth to power, and act in the best interest of ordinary citizens — and that leader, he said, is none other than Kennedy Agyapong.

Mr. Odoom noted that the Assin Central MP has over the years proven to be a man of action who is not afraid to take bold steps in confronting national challenges. He praised Mr. Agyapong for his honesty, patriotism, and unrelenting commitment to national development, describing him as “a man who speaks the truth even when it is unpopular.”

Highlighting his own track record as a public servant, the former Twifo Atti Morkwa MP reminded Ghanaians of the developmental legacy he left behind during his tenure in Parliament — including the establishment of a nursing training college, a senior high school, a high-tech hospital for cocoa farmers, and the installation of modern streetlights across communities in his constituency. He said his own passion for community development and transformational leadership resonates deeply with the kind of vision Kennedy Agyapong has consistently articulated.

“If the NPP truly wants someone who can transform Ghana and deliver practical solutions to our challenges, that person is Kennedy Ohene Agyapong,” Mr. Odoom stated firmly. He further emphasized that the country needs a bold, disciplined, and pragmatic leader who will not tolerate corruption, laziness, or inefficiency in governance.

Touching on the menace of illegal mining, popularly known as galamsey, Mr. Odoom expressed confidence that Kennedy Agyapong has both the willpower and the authority to bring a permanent end to the practice, which has devastated many of Ghana’s natural resources and water bodies. “The country needs a leader who can stop illegal mining completely, and it’s nobody but Kennedy Ohene Agyapong,” he stressed.

The former MP’s endorsement, according to political observers, is expected to boost Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign ahead of future leadership contests within the NPP, as it demonstrates the growing wave of confidence and support he is garnering among influential party figures.

Mr. Odoom concluded by urging delegates and Ghanaians to rally behind Kennedy Agyapong, whom he described as a transformational leader with the vision, courage, and discipline to move Ghana forward. “He is a leader who understands the struggles of ordinary people, speaks their language, and acts in their interest. Ghana’s future will be brighter under his leadership,” he added.

The endorsement by Mr. Abraham Dwumah Odoom adds to a growing chorus of voices within the NPP and beyond calling for a new kind of leadership — one anchored in truth, accountability, and decisive action — qualities that many say are embodied by Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.
