Father To Spend 20years In Jail For Sexually Abusing Biological Daughter He Claims to Be Spoilt

A father who had go to bring his biological daughter he spuriously claims to have been sleeping with men to live with him in the same room to stop her waywardness but ended up having multiple sex with the 14- year girl is going to spend the next 20 years in jail for the revulsive act.

Kofi Dogbey is 49 years old and he is a driver at Dansoman Ave Maria.

The girl was staying with her mother in Kasoa but Dogbey asked that the daughter come to live with him and his cousin in the same room because the girl was becoming spoiled and had been seeing men.

Within a space of less than three months after the biological daughter moved to the father’s place, he started having sex with her.

A friend driver got wind of what Dogbey had been doing with his own daughter, decided to prod her to ascertain the truth or otherwise of his information and the revelation was stunning.

This friend driver would not allow the girl to continue to go through that traumatic experience and filed a formal report with the Police Domestic Violence Victims Support Unit and he was arrested to stand trial at an Accra Circuit Court.

Dogbey was criminally charged with incest and he pleaded guilty to the offence.

The circuit court presided over by Mrs. Christina Cann convicted him on his own guilty plea and handed down to him a jail term of 20 years.

Police Chief Inspector Kofi Atimbire told the court that Dogbey has been sexually abusing the girl since the beginning of this year and had had countless sex with her.

The circuit court judge expressed disgust at the increasing cases of fathers having sex with their own biological daughters.

The court factored the age of the girl and the trauma she had been through into the punishment it gave to Dogbey.
