Evergreen Grace Love Foundation Appeals for Stakeholder Support to Reach More Needy – President Nana Afia Gyaamang Pemsan
The Evergreen Grace Love Foundation has appealed to government institutions, corporate bodies, and philanthropic individuals to support its humanitarian efforts to reach more vulnerable and disadvantaged communities across Ghana. The call was made by the President of the Foundation, Nana Afia Gyaamang Pemsan II, Queen Mother of Abesewa in the Bekwai Municipality, during a New Year outreach at the Mother and Baby Unit of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.
Speaking during the visit, Nana Afia Gyaamang Pemsan II emphasized that one of the top priorities of the Foundation is to assist less privileged members of society, including prisoners, orphans, and families struggling to meet their basic needs. She highlighted the urgent need for support to expand the Foundation’s activities so it can reach more needy individuals across the country.
As part of the outreach at KATH, the Foundation settled the hospital bills of ten mothers, purchased baby food for newly born babies, and provided funds for prescribed medicines, easing the financial burden on the beneficiaries. The gesture offered immediate relief to families who had been struggling to cover medical and postnatal care expenses.
The Foundation’s President further appealed to government authorities to extend the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) to cover maternal operations and other critical maternal care services. She explained that expanding coverage would significantly reduce the financial challenges faced by mothers during delivery and ensure better health outcomes for both mothers and newborns.
Nana Afia Gyaamang Pemsan II also called on stakeholders and members of the public to partner with the Foundation and contribute to its initiatives, emphasizing that collective efforts are essential to reach the most vulnerable and underserved groups in society. She stressed that the Foundation remains committed to its mission of improving the welfare of disadvantaged communities and supporting those in need.
The outreach initiative was met with heartfelt appreciation from the beneficiaries, who described the support as timely and life-changing. Their gratitude underscored the importance of stakeholder engagement and community support in expanding the reach of humanitarian efforts.
