Ejisu: Abenase Aboafuohemaa hands over Gh¢I.8 billion 8-seater WC toilet facility to Abenase M/A JHS

has donated a 8-seater water closet toilet facility to the Abenase M/A Junior High School to enhance effective teaching and learning.

Abenase M/A School has been in dire need of toilet facility for so many years and this situation has been forcing school children to cross the main road to town to ease themselves.

Several appeals were made by the students and school authorities to successive governments to come to their aid but all these appeals did not materialize but today under the help of Abenase Adehye support foundation led by Nana Yaa Akyaa Serwaa (Asona Baapanin) has been resolved the school burden.

The 8-seater water closet toilet facility has been divided into two for both males and females. There is space where toiletries and other stationery that would be used at the facility could be kept safely.

Nana Yaa Akyaa Serwaa Aboafuohemaa who handed over the facility to the school over the weekend, said her commitment to improving sanitational infrastructure in the school in the Ejisu municipality.

She, therefore charged the teachers and students of the school, to take proper care of the facility and regularly maintain to last longer.

She called on the students to take their studies seriously and benefit from the facility and also urged them to respect their teachers and parents.

“I call on all children here to be disciplined, attend school regularly and be serious with your studies”, she said.

She called on them to embrace good sanitation practices.

She called on the people of Abenase community behind her to bring more developments to the area.

The Headteacher of Abenase M/A JHS Nana Agyemang Badu hailed the Nana Yaa Akyaa Serwaah for the kind gesture and said it would go a long way to help improve sanitation and conducive environment of the school.

He added that the facility would also go a long way to improve quality education in the community asked the school to ensure that it was properly maintained.

Nana Agyemang Badu stressed that education was the best investment parents could make for their children and therefore appealed to other NGOs and well-to-do people to emulate the Aboafuohemaa and do same for the school.

He expressed his satisfaction with the toilet facility and asked God to bless the Nana Yaa Akyaa Serwaa for listening to their cries.

He pledged his total commitment to maintaining the facility to achieve its intended purposes.

He, therefore seized the occasion to appeal to his staff to do their best to impart knowledge into the students and added that the facility will improve effective teaching and learning in the school.

“Today, my students will not cross the main road to town to access toilet facilities and it will help improve effective teaching and learning in the school, I’m most grateful”, he said.

He also used the opportunity to appeal to stakeholders and kind benevolent to come to the aid of the school to provide them , computers laboratory, fence wall to enhance teaching and learning in the school.
