The newly installed Domi Keniago Kontihene, Nana Akwasi Kobi IV, has made a strong and passionate commitment to prioritising education as the cornerstone of development in the Domi Keniago community in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region.

Speaking during his installation ceremony at Domi Keniago, Nana Akwasi Kobi IV stressed that no meaningful development can be achieved without quality education, especially in the 21st century. He noted that the future of every community rests in the hands of its children, making it imperative for traditional leaders to invest deliberately in their academic and skills development.
According to him, education remains the most powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering the younger generation to contribute meaningfully to the growth of their community and the nation at large. He therefore pledged to work tirelessly with parents, teachers, opinion leaders and relevant stakeholders to ensure that children in Domi Keniago receive the best possible education.

Nana Akwasi Kobi IV further announced that his educational vision would not only focus on academic excellence but also cater for children who may not perform well academically. He explained that such children would be supported and guided into vocational and technical skills training to help them acquire employable skills and become self-reliant.
He emphasised that every child is gifted in one way or another and that it is the responsibility of leadership to identify, nurture and support these talents for the benefit of the individual and the wider community. He assured the people that no child would be neglected under his leadership, regardless of their academic ability.

The installation ceremony, which attracted chiefs, elders, opinion leaders and residents from the area, was also graced by Nana Obeng Mensah Ababio II, the Otumfuo Bremponghene. Addressing the gathering, Nana Obeng Mensah Ababio II advised the newly installed chiefs to uphold unity, peace and cooperation among themselves, noting that unity remains the strongest foundation for development.

He urged the chiefs to work together in harmony, support one another and place the collective interest of the people above personal ambitions, adding that development thrives best in an atmosphere of peace and mutual respect.
