Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has apologized to Ghanaians for the hardships they have faced recently.
According to him, the people have borne the brunt of the present economic upheaval.
He mentioned this during the Ad Hoc Committee hearing on the censure resolution against him.
“Let me use this opportunity to say to the Ghanaian people what I believe, with courage, every Finance Minister around the world may wish to say to their people now. ‘I am truly sorry,” he told the committee.
On Friday, the Minister took the floor to react to the grounds advanced by the Minority as justification for his departure.
K.T. Hammond, MP for Adansi Asokwa, and Dominic Ayine, MP for Bolgatanga East, co-chair the committee.
