Fire has destroyed a house at Akyem Asuboa in the Eastern Region, killing one man identified as Yaw Donkor.
The fire, which razed through the house, began at midnight.
The incident occurred when the man was sleeping.

Residents and firemen who rushed to the scene to douse the fire, successfully rescued four other persons, who were in nearby rooms, including children.
However, the man middle-aged man got burnt to death.
The cause of the fire is not immediately known.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue while investigations have begun into the cause of the fire.
