The Dunkwa Traditional Authorities has debunked the information circulating in the media that the Nana Okofrobuor III Dunkwahene has sold Boys School Park for a private developer.
Nana Dr Yaw Amoah, the Adontenhene of Dunkwahene Traditional Authorities at a press conference explained that the news circulating about an ongoing project at a plot of land popularly known as Boys School Park been sold to a private developer by the Dunkwahene is never true.
According to him, the piece of land was originally leased to United African company (UAC)by the Elders of Dunkwa stool, and when the lease was about four years to expire, UAC sold the it to an investor to build thereon.

He said the Dunkwahene intervened and had a replacement plot for the buyer and other investors like Osofo Ankapong and others who wanted to buy the land but were also turned down
He stressed that the Dunkwahene does not intended to lease the Park for any private individual developer but he intentions is to maintain the Park for social events
According to him, the purpose of ongoing project is to erect a structure round the field to be used as social center while protecting the it for pubic use
He said the speculating that the Boys School Park has been sold to a private individual is untrue, and the truth is that the project is being undertaken by Dunkwahene and being financed jointly by two other investors as a joint venture.
He disclosed that one thing that bothers the minds of some individuals is the ownership of that piece of land, he said some people believe that the park belongs to the Catholic Church or boys school as the name implies but the Dunkwa stool own the land which Nananom leased to United African company UAC who subsequently sold it to an investor.

He stressed that under no circumstances will Dunkwahene sell the boys school Park but rather developing the place as a social center, and on the completion of the project, it would be renamed Okofrobuor social center
He entreated anyone who requires further information to contact Nananom on the matter else whoever peddles falsehood and misinform the public about the project would be answerable to Nananom.
