Dr. Frank Amoakohene Hosts Hon. Kennedy Agyapong at ARCC to Support Adum PZ Fire Victims

In a heartening display of solidarity, Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, welcomed Hon. Kennedy Agyapong and his team to the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) today, as they arrived to offer critical support to the victims of the recent Adum PZ fire in Kumasi.

The fire, which wreaked havoc on the bustling commercial area of Adum PZ, left many people homeless and displaced, with dozens of businesses severely affected. Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, known for his philanthropic efforts, paid a visit to the scene of the tragedy to provide both financial and material support, offering hope to those who have lost their livelihoods.

Dr. Amoakohene praised the swift response from Hon. Agyapong, noting that his visit was a timely and much-needed intervention for the victims. “This act of generosity transcends political boundaries. Leadership is about caring for the people, regardless of party lines,” said Dr. Amoakohene. “Hon. Agyapong’s support will go a long way in alleviating the suffering of the fire victims, and we are grateful for his commitment to the welfare of our region.”

Hon. Agyapong, who has a long history of supporting communities in distress, also expressed his compassion for the victims, calling for unity and collective action in times of crisis. “This is not about politics; this is about helping those in need. We must all come together as one to support the people of Adum PZ during this difficult time,” he remarked.

The fire, which began in the early hours of the day, completely destroyed parts of the Adum PZ market, a central hub for business and commerce in Kumasi. While the local authorities are working to restore order and provide immediate relief, the support from Hon. Agyapong serves as a vital contribution to the recovery efforts.

Dr. Amoakohene expressed his optimism that with continued collaboration and support from all sectors of society, the victims would be able to rebuild their businesses and homes. “This is a time for all of us to come together and show that, no matter the challenges, the people of Ashanti will rise again,” he said.

Hon. Agyapong’s support includes providing funds to aid in the rehabilitation of the affected businesses and offering direct assistance to those who have lost their homes and sources of income.

As Kumasi continues to recover, Dr. Amoakohene and Hon. Agyapong both emphasized the importance of future planning to prevent similar disasters from happening again. They urged for better fire safety measures and increased public awareness to safeguard both lives and properties.

The Ashanti Regional Minister extended his heartfelt thanks to Hon. Agyapong for his unwavering support and commitment to the people of the region, adding that such acts of kindness would inspire others to contribute to the recovery of the fire-affected communities.
