Dr Kwabena Duffour, the former governor of Bank of Ghana and Finance Minister in the elsewhere Atta Mills Mahama Administration has been commended for his Strategic campaign to ensure the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) votes increase in the Ashanti in the last general elections.
Mr Frank Basoah, President of the Ashanti Youth Caucus expressed his profound gratitude to the former finance Minister who was once intended to contest the Presidential Primaries with the president elect John Dramani Mahama, for bringing unity, togetherness into the party towards the emphatic victory devoid division.
According to him, Dr Duffour in the hit of the campaign pulled all the resources at his disposal including his son Duffour Junior to get involved with both cash, kind and their energy to ensure that the NDC increase votes in the Ashanti region to make the victory a mere formality.
He expressed the need for every individuals in the party who is aspiring to lead the party in any position to emulate Dr Duffour maturity, selfless and dedication for the total interest of the party to remain strong and difficult to defeat by any political opponent going forward.
