The Chairperson for the launch of the 35th Anniversary celebration of Ejisu Senior High Technical School, Dr. Beatrice Wiafe Addai, has proposed a number of legacy projects aimed at strengthening the school’s infrastructure and supporting brilliant but needy students.

Speaking at the anniversary launch under the theme “Celebrating 35 Years of Holistic Secondary and Technical Education: The Role of Stakeholders,” Dr. Wiafe Addai described the occasion as a significant milestone in the history of the institution.

Addressing distinguished guests, traditional authorities, school leadership, staff, students, and alumni, she said it was a great honour and privilege to serve as chairman for such an important moment in the life of the school.

According to her, the celebration goes beyond marking the number of years the school has existed. She explained that it represents 35 years of shaping minds, building practical skills, and transforming the lives of young people.
She noted that from its humble beginnings, Ejisu Senior High Technical School has grown into a centre of excellence that has produced professionals, entrepreneurs, and responsible citizens who are contributing meaningfully to the development of Ghana.

Dr. Wiafe Addai emphasised that the achievements of the school were not accidental but the result of the collective efforts of stakeholders over the years.

She commended teachers for their dedication and commitment to imparting knowledge and skills to students. She also praised parents for their trust and continuous support, while acknowledging the government for providing the foundation that has enabled the school to grow.

She further applauded alumni for proudly carrying the name and legacy of the school wherever they go.
Touching on the theme for the anniversary celebration, Dr. Wiafe Addai stressed that the future of the school depends greatly on the commitment and collaboration of all stakeholders.

She noted that while the anniversary launch provides an opportunity to celebrate past achievements, it must also serve as a platform to introduce a new vision that will guide the institution into the future.
As part of activities to commemorate the milestone, she proposed several legacy projects aimed at improving the development of the school and ensuring sustainable support for generations of students.

Among the projects she proposed are the establishment of a 35th Anniversary Infrastructure Project, the launch of a 35th Anniversary Scholarship Scheme to support brilliant but needy students, and the construction and equipping of a modern Technical and ICT laboratory to prepare students with the necessary skills for the digital and industrial world.

She also suggested the creation of an Alumni Endowment Fund to ensure continuous and sustainable support for the development of the school.
According to her, these initiatives will not only celebrate the achievements of the past but will also secure the future of the institution.

Dr. Wiafe Addai stressed that education today must go beyond the acquisition of academic certificates. She explained that schools must focus on producing problem-solvers, innovators, and job creators who can respond to the challenges of the modern world.

She expressed confidence that Ejisu Senior High Technical School has the potential to become one of the leading technical institutions in Ghana if stakeholders continue to invest in its growth and development.
She therefore called on alumni, corporate organisations, parents, and all friends of the school to support the proposed legacy projects to help transform the institution.

“Let us not only celebrate 35 years,” she said. “Let us build the next 35 years.”
Dr. Wiafe Addai also encouraged students to remain focused on their education, reminding them that they represent the future of the school and the country.

She commended the staff for their sacrifices in shaping the destinies of students and urged alumni to seize the opportunity presented by the anniversary celebration to give back to their alma mater.

In conclusion, she congratulated Ejisu Senior High Technical School for reaching the remarkable milestone of 35 years and expressed hope that the institution will continue to grow and produce leaders who will contribute to the development of Ghana.
She also prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the school and the nation.
