The Member of Parliament for Bosomefreho, Hon. Akwasi Darko Boateng, has thrown his weight behind the flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party NPP Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, saying he is better placed to improve Ghana’s economy.
As Ghana heads to the polls in 2024, the country’s economic future hangs in the balance, and according to Bosomefreho MP, Hon. Kwasi Darko Boateng, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the only leader with the vision and expertise to drive transformation and growth, making him the clear choice for president.
In an interview with OTEC News Reporter Jacob Agyenim Boateng on Wednesday September 11,2024 , Hon. Darko emphasized that Dr. Bawumia’s competencies and vision, as outlined in the NPP’s manifesto, far surpass those of his competitors.
He warned that Ghana’s development trajectory would decline massively if the NPP fails to retain power in 2024, citing the NDC’s consistent inability to lead the country effectively.
Hon. Darko appealed to the public to support the NPP in the 2024 polls for continued development.
“Dr. Bawumia’s leadership is crucial for Ghana’s economic transformation. We cannot afford to change parties now; NPP must retain power to consolidate our gains,” he stressed.
Hon. Darko highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s achievements as Vice President, particularly in the areas of digitalization and economic development, saying they demonstrate his capacity to drive Ghana’s growth.
The MP’s endorsement comes as the NPP gears up for its presidential primaries, with Dr. Bawumia widely tipped as a top contender.
