An aspiring NPP flagbearer and former Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has reiterated his commitment to fighting poverty and driving national transformation by pledging that every constituency in the country will have its people trained in the right skill sets needed for development, should he have the opportunity to lead the party and the nation.

Dr. Adutwum made the pledge during a Thanksgiving Service presented by the YOA Foundation for over 90 students who earned scholarships to study engineering and medicine, part of his broader sponsorship of 150 students pursuing careers in these fields.

The event was held at Joint-Heirs Ministry, Feyiase, opposite the Jusbro Filling Station.

He stressed that politics should be a tool to uplift communities, create opportunities, and enable citizens to have decent livelihoods, turning governance into a platform for prosperity.

The service was attended by several traditional leaders, including Okofonyini Asakyim Kwakye Agyemang (Aputuogya Hene), Ofori Panin of Deduako, Balfour Kwaku Amoateng IV (Jachie Hene), and Nana Addai Gyamerah (Feyiase Hene), who praised Dr. Adutwum’s visionary investment in youth.

Nana Gyamerah highlighted that the galamsey menace is largely driven by limited skills and opportunities, noting that Dr. Adutwum’s focus on engineering and medical training equips young people to transform communities and safeguard the environment.
