The Chief Executive Officer of Divino Hotel and Divine Nana Owusu Group of Companies, Mr. Divine Nana Kwadwo Owusu, has encouraged Ghanaian youth to prioritize hard work, perseverance, and ethical business practices over the temptation of quick money.
Speaking at the grand commissioning of Divino Hotel and Police Guard Apartments in Konongo, Mr. Owusu emphasized that success is built on dedication, patience, and integrity, rather than shortcuts that often lead to negative consequences.
“In today’s world, many young people are eager to make quick money, but true success comes through commitment, perseverance, and making the right choices. There is no shortcut to sustainable wealth. Hard work, discipline, and resilience will always yield better results in the long run,” he advised.
Encouraging Entrepreneurship and Innovation
As a self-made entrepreneur, Mr. Owusu shared insights from his business journey, urging the youth to explore legitimate income-generating ventures such as entrepreneurship, skills development, and innovation.
“I started from humble beginnings, but with focus and determination, I have built a business that now provides jobs for many people. I encourage the youth to invest in their skills, explore business opportunities, and work hard towards their goals rather than seeking quick riches,” he stated.
Support from Traditional Leaders
The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including Nana Osei Ankama II, Chief of Nyaboo, who commended Mr. Owusu for his contributions to business development and job creation in the region.
“Young people should take inspiration from Divine Nana Kwadwo Owusu and learn the value of hard work. Instead of chasing quick money, they should focus on building businesses and acquiring skills that will benefit them and the nation,” Nana Osei Ankama II advised.
A Call for Government Support
Mr. Owusu also used the occasion to appeal to the government to create an enabling environment for businesses by reducing bureaucratic bottlenecks in business registration and documentation.
“The government must ensure that young entrepreneurs are supported and not frustrated by unnecessary documentation delays. If we want to build a strong economy, we must make it easier for businesses to grow,” he urged.
Commitment to Community Development
Beyond business, Mr. Owusu reaffirmed his commitment to community development, stating that Divino Hotel will not only provide quality hospitality services but also serve as a platform for job creation and economic growth in the Asante Akim Central Municipality.
The opening of Divino Hotel is seen as a significant investment that will contribute to local tourism, create employment opportunities, and inspire young entrepreneurs to pursue long-term success through hard work and perseverance.
