Development Is My Top Priority – Ahafo Ano South West DCE Tells Chiefs and Party Faithful

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Ahafo Ano South West District, Hon. Abubakari Sadiq, has declared that the development of the district remains his foremost priority, assuring chiefs, party faithful and residents of his unwavering commitment to improving their living conditions.
Hon. Abubakari Sadiq made the statement at Adadekrom during the commencement of his thank-you tour of the district, an initiative aimed at expressing appreciation to party members, traditional leaders and residents for their continuous support, while also engaging them on the district’s development agenda.

The DCE acknowledged that although successive governments have made efforts to address the development needs of the district, several communities still face persistent challenges. He identified education, healthcare delivery, road infrastructure, rural electrification, sanitation and access to potable water as key sectors requiring urgent attention.

According to him, the Ahafo Ano South West District requires strategic and transformational infrastructural projects that will improve the quality of life of residents and stimulate economic activities. He assured the people of his readiness to contribute his utmost in whatever capacity to ensure that the developmental needs of the district are adequately addressed.

Touching on ongoing and planned projects, Hon. Abubakari Sadiq revealed that a number of initiatives are currently being implemented to uplift the district. He announced that plans are far advanced for the sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of a 24-hour market complex, a project expected to boost local commerce, create employment opportunities and strengthen the district’s economy.

The DCE further emphasized his administration’s openness to ideas and collaboration, encouraging chiefs, opinion leaders and residents to contribute suggestions that would support the development of the district. He called for unity and collective responsibility, noting that sustainable development can only be achieved through cooperation and shared effort.

“I am committed to doing everything within my power to bring development closer to the people, and I urge all stakeholders to support this vision for the progress of our district,” he stated.

Also speaking at the gathering, the Vice Chairman of the constituency, Hon. David Mawuli, called on the youth not to lose hope despite prevailing economic challenges. He urged them to remain confident in the government, assuring that plans are underway to create employment opportunities for the youth in the near future.

The thank-you tour is expected to continue across several communities in the Ahafo Ano South West District, providing a platform for dialogue, accountability and renewed commitment to development.
