The Deputy Ashanti Regional Women’s Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Josphine Yaa Boahemaa Agyemang has praised President John Mahama for appointing Dr. Frank Amoakohene as the Ashanti Regional Minister Designate.
According to her, the Ashanti Regional Minister-Designate possesses the ability and expertise to address the region’s challenges, including infrastructural deficits, youth unemployment, economic, healthcare, education, and agricultural issues.
Confident in Dr. Amoakohene’s competence, she noted that President Mahama made an excellent choice in selecting him to implement the government’s agenda to transform Ghana and improve living conditions in the Ashanti Region.
Hon. Yaa Boahemaa further noted that, the previous government failed to tap into the Ashanti Region’s potential, making Dr. Amoakohene’s appointment crucial in restoring the region to its former glory.
Given his impressive track record as the NDC’s Regional Secretary, she is optimistic that he will excel in his new role once approved by the Vetting Committee.
“I am certain that Dr. Frank Amoakohene will make himself, President Mahama, and the entire NDC proud when he assumes office as the Ashanti Regional Minister,” she said.
Hon. Yaa Boahemaa appealed to security personnel, traditional leaders, religious leaders, politicians, civil society organizations, experts, and the general public to support Dr. Amoakohene and the government, emphasizing that the President Mahama administration is committed to delivering results.
