Dead Body of Young Man Found Near Container at Maakro Market — Suame NADMO, Police Launch Investigation

A disturbing incident occurred at Maakro Market in the Suame Municipality on Monday, August 11, 2025, when the lifeless body of a young man was discovered near a container.

According to the Suame Municipal Office of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), the office received a report at exactly 2:00 p.m. indicating that a dead body had been found in the area. Acting swiftly, a NADMO team from Suame proceeded to the scene in the company of officers from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Suame Divisional Police Command, as well as officials from the Environmental Health Department of the Suame Municipal Assembly.

Upon arrival, the team confirmed the presence of the deceased and, following standard protocols, arranged for the body to be retrieved and transported to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) mortuary for preservation and autopsy.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased. The cause of death remains unknown, but the police have launched a full investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Residents in the Maakro Market area have been left in shock, with some expressing concern about safety and security within the busy commercial hub. Police have assured the public that all necessary measures are being taken to uncover the truth behind the young man’s death.
