The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Mponua, Hon. Ishaq Ibrahim, has emphasized the need for stronger partnerships with stakeholders as a foundation for achieving sustainable development in the district. His remarks came after engaging with two influential groups on Monday — the Association of Cocoa, Coffee and Shea Nuts Farmers and the Association of Beauticians.
The separate courtesy calls, held at the District Assembly premises, reflected the DCE’s inclusive governance approach, which seeks to unite farmers, artisans, and professional associations under one development vision for Atwima Mponua.

Farmers Commend Assembly’s Agricultural Focus
The Association of Cocoa, Coffee and Shea Nuts Farmers, led by its Ashanti Regional Chairman, praised the DCE for his continued commitment to advancing agriculture and farmer welfare. The delegation reaffirmed its readiness to collaborate with the Assembly to increase yields, improve market access, and advocate for policies that uplift farmers.
The farmers stressed that agriculture remains the backbone of Atwima Mponua’s economy, contributing not only to food security but also to employment and community growth. They expressed confidence that deeper collaboration with the Assembly would help address persistent challenges such as access to inputs, modern farming techniques, and reliable markets.

Beauticians Pledge Support for Skills Training
The Association of Beauticians also paid a courtesy call on the DCE, highlighting their intention to partner with the Assembly on vocational and entrepreneurial training. They noted that the beauty and cosmetology industry, if well supported, has the potential to generate sustainable jobs, particularly for women and young people.
According to the group, partnerships with the Assembly could help expand skills acquisition programs, support small-scale businesses, and empower communities to reduce unemployment. They assured the DCE of their full cooperation with future initiatives aimed at youth empowerment and job creation.
DCE Calls for Unity in Development

Hon. Ibrahim, in responding to both delegations, expressed gratitude for their solidarity and pledged to continue championing an inclusive development agenda. He stressed that the Assembly’s vision for Atwima Mponua is anchored on partnerships that bring together diverse groups to contribute toward progress.
“Development is not the responsibility of government alone. It requires unity, cooperation, and shared responsibility across all sectors,” the DCE stated. “When we work together — farmers, artisans, youth, and professionals — we create a stronger foundation for sustainable growth in Atwima Mponua.”

He assured both groups that the Assembly would continue to create platforms for engagement with stakeholders, ensuring that their contributions feed into planning and implementation of development programs.
Strengthening Collaboration for the Future
The meetings with farmers and beauticians underscored the DCE’s strategy of bridging the gap between leadership and the people. By deepening stakeholder collaboration, the Assembly seeks to build a resilient and united Atwima Mponua District where opportunities are expanded, livelihoods are improved, and sustainable growth is guaranteed.
