The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bosome Freho District Assembly, Mr. Kofi Adu Amoateng, has officially cut the sod for the construction of an ultra-modern police station at Nsuta. The project, funded by the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF), is aimed at enhancing security and reducing crime rates in the district.
The new police station will include a charge office, a holding cell, washrooms, an office for the station officer, and other essential facilities. Once completed, it is expected to provide the local police force with the necessary infrastructure to effectively combat crime in Nsuta and surrounding communities.
Speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony, Mr. Adu Amoateng emphasized the importance of peace and security as key drivers of sustainable development. He noted that the construction of the police station aligns with the Assembly’s broader mission to improve security in the district, thereby fostering an environment conducive to growth and development.
“Peace and security are indispensable tools for sustainable growth and development. This police station will serve as a critical resource for maintaining law and order in the district, which will, in turn, attract investment and development,” the DCE said.
Mr. Adu Amoateng also called on the people of Nsuta to work together with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, urging them to support ongoing development initiatives aimed at improving their community.
**Improved Security for Bosome Freho**
The District Police Commander, DSP Seidu Braimah, expressed gratitude to the government for prioritizing security in Bosome Freho. He acknowledged the significance of the new police station, stating that it would go a long way in addressing the rising crime rate in Nsuta and its adjoining communities.
“This facility will be instrumental in reducing crime in the area, and we are grateful to the government for this initiative,” DSP Braimah said. “It will help us work more efficiently and ensure the safety and security of residents.”
**Traditional Leaders Applaud the Initiative**
Nana Kwabena Agyapong II, Sanaahene of the Kokofu Traditional Council, representing the Paramount Chief of Kokofu, Barima Ofe Kwasi Oko Gyeasuo II, commended the government for its efforts in enhancing security services in the district. He stressed that the security of the people is paramount and praised the DCE and the Assembly for their dedication to improving the quality of life for the residents.
Nana Kwabena Agyapong also appealed to the contractor working on the project to ensure high-quality workmanship, noting that the people of the district expect nothing less than excellence. He warned against substandard construction, saying that the community would not accept any work that does not meet the highest standards.

The sod-cutting ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including the District Coordinating Director, heads of department, security agencies, and traditional authorities, who all pledged their support for the project. The police station is seen as a crucial addition to the district’s infrastructure and is expected to significantly improve the safety and well-being of the residents.
As construction commences, the people of Nsuta and the wider Bosome Freho District are hopeful that the project will be completed in a timely manner and contribute to the overall development of the area.
