COVID_19 VACCINE: _PRESIDENCY SHOWS LEADERSHIP AND GUPS SUPPORTS THE CALL FOR LOCALLY MANUFACTURED VACCINES._

The Ghana Union of Professional Students (GUPS) Executives Elect congratulates the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E Nana Akufo-Addo for your timely intervention to curbing the spread of Covid-19 virus in Ghana by providing COVAX vaccines.

We again say AYEKOO to you and our mother, H.E Rebecca Akufo-Addo and our noble second family, H.E. Alhaji Bawumia and H.E. Samira Bawumia for taking the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in the early hours of 1st March, 2021. This assures us that we are safe to take the COVAX vaccine. This is also a true exemplification of the leadership by example mantra.

However, we would like to state on record that as the mother professional body of professional students in Ghana, we are monitoring the deployment process and the production of locally manufactured vaccines, per your rallying call.

We appeal to you to involve our professional capabilities especially on the committee. We believe this is critical because we are an embodiment of professionalism, from health to communication.

We pledge our support to you and urge all citizens especially professional students to get vaccinated while abiding by the COVID-19 safety protocols.
