Court remands woman fraudster, Priscilla Koduah for defrauding a SHS Headmistress of over Ghc560,000

The Atasomanso Circuit Court in Kumasi has remanded into police custody a 38-year-old Priscilla Kodua, who has allegedly defrauded a Senior High School Headmistress of GH¢560,000.

Priscilla, aka Maame Kraa who is a former staff of Newmont Ghana Gold Limited but now unemployed, is accused of deceiving the complainant by promising to provide her three auctioned vehicles but failed to deliver. She also promised but failed to secure a Visa for the same complainant.

She has been charged with conspiracy to defraud and defrauding by false pretences.

At the Atasomanso Circuit Court yesterday, Apostle Chief Inspector Benjamin Moore Ankrah, who represented the prosecution, recounted that Priscilla Kodua and her lawyer had provided conflicting addresses and therefore prayed to court to give her a one week remand to enable investigators complete investigations.

The court granted the request of the prosecutor.

The court presided over by His Worship Kwaku Baa Frimpong, rejected a bail application made by the defence counsel for Priscilla Koduah after the prosecution opposed it.

The prosecution argued that Priscilla Kodua had committed the same offence against many other people who are trooping in with their complaints and granting her bail would thwart efforts of the police in the ongoing investigations.

As a result, the court denied the bail request and ordered the prosecution to complete investigations and file their disclosures within one week.

The case was adjourned to Wednesday August 20, 2025.

Aside from this case at the Atasomanso Circuit Court, our investigations desk has discovered that, Priscilla Koduah, has defrauded other persons of different amounts of totalling around Four Million Ghana Cedis (40 billion old Ghana Cedis).

The team is aware that other three of her fraud victims have dragged her to the Tafo Circuit Court where she has been remanded on two occasions. Her lawyer was able to secure bail for her on her third appearance, but she had not been able to meet the bail conditions when another victim, the SHS Head, took her to the Atasomanso Circuit Court.

Priscilla Kodua has been succeeding in deceiving people to pay the huge sums of money with the help of her accomplice, Nana Yaw Stocks who is also currently in police custody. Nana Yaw Stocks has been posing as a National Security operative and an uncle to Priscilla, in their dealings with victims.
