COCOBOD Management Begins New Year with Staff Engagement Tour
Management of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD), led by the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ransford Anertey Abbey, has embarked on a New Year tour of the organisation’s offices, subsidiaries and divisions as part of efforts to officially welcome staff back to work and set the tone for the year ahead.

The tour, which took Dr. Abbey and his management team to various COCOBOD departments, provided an opportunity for direct interaction with staff and a reaffirmation of management’s vision for the institution. Addressing workers during the visits, Dr. Abbey commended them for their professionalism, resilience and dedication to duty, noting that their collective commitment remains central to the sustainability and growth of Ghana’s cocoa industry.

He urged staff to anchor the new year on teamwork, transparency and a shared sense of purpose, stressing that collaboration across departments and subsidiaries would be critical to achieving COCOBOD’s strategic objectives. According to him, a culture of openness and mutual accountability would not only improve internal efficiency but also strengthen public confidence in the institution.

Dr. Abbey further reaffirmed Management’s commitment to staff welfare, assuring workers that their concerns would continue to receive the needed attention. He emphasised that a motivated and well-supported workforce is essential for driving reforms and innovations within the cocoa sector.

The COCOBOD Chief Executive also reiterated Management’s resolve to strengthen Ghana’s cocoa industry through prudent management, enhanced productivity and value addition, while safeguarding the livelihoods of cocoa farmers. He called on staff to remain focused and dedicated, describing the new year as an opportunity to consolidate gains and work collectively towards securing the future of the cocoa sector.
