In a surprise move, a signed resolution to change the signatories of the Association’s accounts at Access Bank has succeed without the knowledge of National Executive Council (NEC) members.
A letter from Access Bank to one of the petitioners or suspended national executives confirms the resolution to change signatories.
The letter states that the Board authorized the bank to effect the change, referencing a meeting held on November 19, 2024, by EXECO and NEC.
The letter reads: “We write to inform you that we have received a board resolution with Ref number BA/22/VOL.3/152 dated 19th November, 2024, from the National Executive Council (NEC), which confirms the terms of suspension of your suspension from the National Executive Committee (EXECO)”.
Despite the bank receiving a letter to effect the change, the majority of NEC members are unaware of the decision to change the signatories.
This new development has shocked members of CLOGSAG, and the news sounds unpleasant to the majority of NEC members, particularly in light of the petition alleging the Executive Secretary’s fraudulent withdrawal of GH 500,000 from the same bank.
The NEC of CLOGSAG will meet in an emergency meeting on Saturday November 30 in Accra at 7am in a letter signed by deputy executive secretary, Mr Kojo W. Krakani.
