Churches Urged to Utilize DRIP Machines for Schools, Roads, and Hospitals -Kwadaso MCE

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kwadaso, Hon. Eric Asibey, has called on churches within the municipality to take advantage of the District Road Network Improvement Programme (DRIP) machines to embark on critical community development projects.

Addressing attendees at the maiden Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Kumasi North Men’s Fellowship, held at the Freeman Methodist Church in Kwadaso, Hon. Asibey emphasized the government’s commitment to providing the tools necessary to accelerate infrastructural growth. He stated that churches, as major stakeholders in national development, have an important role to play in improving living standards and fostering economic growth. “We are encouraging churches to come forward and make use of the DRIP machines for building schools, hospitals, roads, and other facilities that will benefit the entire municipality,” Hon. Asibey stated. “The government alone cannot meet all the demands of development. We need faith-based organizations to be strong partners in this mission.”

He added that the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly is prepared to collaborate closely with religious bodies to make these resources available, stressing that development is a shared responsibility that thrives when all sectors work together.

Bro. Thomas Adjei Soadwah, Diocesan Chairman of the Kumasi North Men’s Fellowship, expressed profound appreciation to the MCE for supporting the fellowship’s AGM and extending opportunities for churches to make a tangible impact in their communities. “We are grateful to Hon. Asibey not only for honoring our invitation but for making provisions for churches to actively participate in building our communities. This is a great opportunity for us to lead positive change,” Bro. Soadwah said.

The AGM brought together church leaders, municipal officials, and community representatives to deliberate on ways to strengthen the relationship between faith-based organizations and the local government. Discussions highlighted the potential of churches to drive sustainable growth through investments in education, healthcare, and infrastructure.

Hon. Assebey’s initiative reflects a growing call for public-private and faith-based partnerships to ensure accelerated development in the Kwadaso Municipality and across the Ashanti Region.
