Christian Journalists Association Holds Maiden Ashanti Regional Conference, Honours Key Personalities in Kumasi

The Christian Journalists Association (CJA) has successfully held its maiden Ashanti Regional Conference in Kumasi, making significant strides in its mission to promote Christian values and impactful journalism. The event served not only as a platform to outline the association’s objectives but also to celebrate and honour distinguished individuals who have contributed to national development and positively impacted lives.

Purpose of the Conference

Held under the theme “Ensuring the Peace of Christ in Nations: The Role of Christian Journalists,” the conference brought together media professionals, Christian leaders, and awardees. It emphasized the pivotal role of the media in advancing evangelism, peace-building, and support for the less privileged.

The National President of the Christian Journalists Association, Mr. Armstrong Kusi Oduodum, popularly known as Evangelist Obour, underscored the association’s goals during his address.

“The Christian Journalists Association is committed to using media as a platform to spread the gospel, save souls through Jesus Christ, and assist the needy, vulnerable, and less privileged in our communities. Additionally, we aim to contribute meaningfully to the progress of our nation,” he stated.

Evangelist Obour emphasized that the association has already rolled out several initiatives to empower individuals and communities through Christ-centered principles. He further explained that the awardees were selected for their exemplary contributions to nation-building, community impact, and commitment to advancing the gospel.
