Chieftaincy disputes in the Amansie South District have become a significant barrier to the progress of critical developmental projects, according to the Presiding Member of the District Assembly, Hon. Kwame Amponsah. The ongoing conflicts, which often lead to tensions and divisions within communities, are stalling efforts to improve infrastructure, healthcare, education, and other essential services in the district.
Hon. Kwame Amponsah expressed his concerns over the impact of these disputes, emphasizing that without swift resolution, the district’s development will continue to suffer. He called on all stakeholders to prioritize peaceful resolution processes to ensure that the development initiatives can proceed without further delays, benefiting the entire community.
In a related statement, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Amansie South District, Hon. Clement Opoku Gyamfi, CID, affirmed the Assembly’s unwavering commitment to the district’s development. He assured residents that the Assembly is not only focused on advancing developmental projects but is also taking steps to ensure a secure environment ahead of the upcoming December 7 elections. Hon. Gyamfi emphasized that security would be enhanced to maintain peace and order during this crucial period.
