Chairman Owusu Sekyere Denied Balloting After Vetting

Chairman Owusu Sekyere,one of the Manhyia South Constituency chairmen aspirant was denied balloting after a successful vetting today.

According to chairman Owusu Sekyere, after a successful vetting today by the vetting committee they were to ballot and see their various positions on the ballot paper which was to be done right after the vetting but he was told to leave the vetting grounds and that the vetting committee will call him another time for the balloting which according to him is not done anywhere.

He suspect that,the vetting committee is finding ways and means to disqualify him on the contest.

The is another school of thought that someone is behind the act and that his supporters will not sit down unconcerned for a secondary forest to turn them into a thick forest.

Speaking to the media after the incident,he was not happy as to why authorities couldn’t see to the balloting process today.

Supporters who were present were not happy about the situation and stated clearly that it’s about time authorities at Manhyia South should allow open contest in the Constituency.

The aggrieved supporters of Mr.Owusu Sekyere revealed that the number of votes they used to gather at Manhyia South during general elections have consistently depreciating because of some of these acts.

Adding that,the Member of Parliament for the area,Mr.Mathew Opoku Prempeh is behind the mafia tactics but his tactics wouldn’t work this time.

They however condemned the act and said the action was barbaric.
