BUSINESSMAN KOFI SEFA BOAKYE BUILDS 500-SEATER MAGNIFICENT CHURCH AUDITORIUM AND THREE-ROOM MISSION HOUSE APARTMENT FOR ABIRA CHURCH OF CHRIST

A renowned businessman and native of Abira in the Kwabre East Municipality of the Ashanti Region, Mr. Kofi Sefa Boakye, has constructed and handed over an ultramodern 500-seater church auditorium complete with a three-room mission house apartment to the Abira Church of Christ, in a heartwarming act of faith, generosity, and community service.
The newly commissioned edifice, a true architectural masterpiece, stands as a beacon of hope, unity, and spiritual growth for the Abira community. The facility, which was solely financed by Mr. Boakye, offers a serene and comfortable environment for worship and fellowship, symbolizing what faith-driven philanthropy can achieve when guided by genuine love for God and humanity.

At a colourful dedication ceremony attended by members of the Church of Christ, traditional leaders, residents of Abira, and invited guests, the Head Pastor of the church, Pastor Williams Nyarko, expressed profound gratitude to Mr. Boakye for his outstanding contribution to the work of God and for fulfilling a long-standing dream of the congregation.

According to Pastor Nyarko, the completion of the 500-seater auditorium and the accompanying three-room mission house apartment marks a new era in the life of the Abira Church of Christ. He described the gesture as a divine blessing and urged other well-meaning individuals to emulate the philanthropist’s example by supporting the work of God in their own capacities.

“This project is more than just a building — it is a legacy of faith and love. Brother Sefa Boakye has demonstrated what it means to be a true servant of God. His generosity will forever be remembered, and this edifice will serve as a spiritual home for generations to come,” Pastor Nyarko remarked.

He also noted that the three-room mission house apartment will provide a comfortable and well-furnished residence for ministers assigned to the church, thereby strengthening evangelism, ministerial commitment, and community outreach efforts in Abira and its surrounding areas.

Speaking in an interview after the inauguration, Mr. Kofi Sefa Boakye explained that his decision to construct and donate the facility was inspired by his deep faith and desire to give back to the church that nurtured his spiritual life. He said the idea was born out of his appreciation to God for His blessings and his passion to contribute to the spiritual and infrastructural development of his hometown.

“I have been greatly blessed by God, and I believe one of the best ways to show gratitude is to invest in His work. Building this church auditorium and the three-room mission house apartment is my humble contribution to support the spiritual growth of my people and to create a befitting place for worship,” he stated.

Mr. Boakye emphasized that he did not undertake the project for recognition or fame but as a service to God and the community that raised him. He encouraged the congregation to take good care of the facility and use it to strengthen their faith, unity, and love for one another.

The inauguration ceremony was filled with joyous singing, prayers, and thanksgiving as members of the Abira Church of Christ celebrated the completion of the magnificent structure. The event was also attended by several dignitaries from the Kwabre East Municipality, who commended Mr. Boakye for his remarkable generosity and commitment to community development.

During the same event, Pastor Williams Nyarko used the platform to appeal to the government to consider returning the management of mission schools to churches. He noted that when mission churches managed their schools, discipline and moral values were upheld, unlike the current situation where indiscipline and social vices among students are on the rise.

He added that the church’s involvement in education plays a crucial role in shaping the character and future of young people, urging the government to partner with faith-based institutions to restore moral excellence in schools.

The dedication of the new 500-seater church auditorium and three-room mission house apartment marks a significant step forward in the religious and social development of the Abira community, reaffirming the powerful impact of faith-inspired philanthropy on local transformation.
