Businessman and Philanthropist Great Osama Donates Millions to Cherubs Children’s Home, Urges Road Safety

Mr. Kwaku Abonɛɛ, popularly known as Great Osama, a businessman and philanthropist, has appealed to drivers across Ghana to exercise caution on the roads during the Christmas festivities, urging them to avoid drinking and driving to ensure an accident-free holiday season.

Speaking to the media during his annual donation exercise at Cherubs Children’s Home, Mr. Abonɛɛ expressed concern over the increasing number of road accidents, many of which involve children. He noted that most of these accidents are preventable if drivers act responsibly and obey road traffic regulations.

As part of his philanthropic initiative, Mr. Abonɛɛ donated items worth millions of Ghana Cedis to the home. The donations included bags of rice, sardines, cooking oil, toilet paper, soft drinks, biscuits, and other essential supplies. He also presented an undisclosed amount of cash in an envelope to the management of Cherubs Children’s Home, urging them to use the items and cash for their intended purposes to ensure the welfare of the children.

Using the occasion to promote social responsibility, Mr. Abonɛɛ called on individuals, corporate bodies, and well-meaning Ghanaians to extend support to vulnerable children, especially during the festive season.

Some popular Ghanaian movie actors, including Shifo and Oboy Siki, who accompanied Great Osama to the home, also expressed their appreciation to the management of Cherubs Children’s Home for the warm reception. They encouraged the general public to support the home in cash or kind to help improve the living conditions of the children.

Receiving the donations on behalf of the home, Mr. Bernard Osei Bonsu thanked Mr. Kwaku Abonɛɛ and his team for the kind gesture. He described the donation as timely and impactful and appealed to the public to come to the aid of the home to help meet the growing needs of the children.

Mr. Abonɛɛ’s annual donation exercise continues to demonstrate the spirit of giving while also using the platform to promote road safety awareness and community responsibility during the Christmas season.
