Businessman and Philanthropist Elder Efo Zague Kodjo Urges Youth to Shun Quick Money and Embrace Hard Work

Elder Efo Zague Kodjo, a respected businessman, farmer, and philanthropist from Manso Takorase, has called on Ghanaian youth to abandon the pursuit of quick money and instead embrace hard work, discipline, and perseverance as the surest path to sustainable success.

Speaking to the media during a three-day Christmas celebration at Manso Kensere Nkwanta, Elder Efo Zague Kodjo cautioned young people against shortcuts to wealth, noting that genuine achievement is built through consistent effort and honest labour.

He also urged commercial motorbike riders, popularly known as okada riders, to exercise caution during the Christmas festivities to help prevent road accidents. According to him, the festive season should be marked by joy, peace, and family togetherness, not avoidable tragedies caused by reckless riding.

The businessman and philanthropist further expressed appreciation to the government for the recent increase in cocoa prices, describing the decision as a major relief to cocoa farmers in the Amansie South District. However, he noted that inadequate staffing at local agricultural offices remains a key challenge affecting effective extension services and farmer support.

He used the opportunity to wish residents of the Amansie South District and Ghanaians at large a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year, calling for peace, unity, and progress in the year ahead.

He concluded by appealing to the appropriate authorities to urgently address staffing gaps in the agricultural sector to boost productivity and improve livelihoods within farming communities.
