Budumburam Woman Dies from Alleged Poisoning by Boyfriend Following 100-Cedi Dispute
A heartbreaking incident has sent shockwaves through the Budumburam community after a 23-year-old woman, Theresa Darkoah, allegedly lost her life following a dispute over a mere 100 cedis with her boyfriend, Kofi Emma, popularly known as Blackee.

Reports indicate that Kofi Emma had been financially supporting Theresa in an effort to win her affection. However, sources allege that Theresa took advantage of his generosity. The conflict reportedly escalated when Theresa requested 100 cedis to repair a broken fan. Kofi Emma provided the money, but she allegedly ignored his subsequent calls.
Angered by her refusal to return the funds, Kofi Emma is said to have issued threats, warning of dire consequences. According to local sources, he allegedly poisoned Theresa’s medicine through a messenger.

Theresa’s condition deteriorated rapidly, prompting her to be rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts by medical personnel, she succumbed to the effects of the poison. Hospital authorities confirmed that toxic substances were detected in her system.
The accused, Kofi Emma, remains at large as police launch an intensive manhunt. Authorities are appealing to the public to provide any information that could lead to his arrest.

Friends and family of the deceased have expressed deep shock and grief over the incident, describing Theresa as a vibrant young woman whose life was cut short in tragic circumstances.
