Bosomtwe District Welcomes Students from Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College

On Thursday, September 28, 2024, the Bosomtwe District Assembly had the honor of receiving a delegation of students from the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) in Teshie. The visit aimed to familiarize the students with the district’s unique position as a key tourist destination in Ghana and home to the country’s only natural lake, Lake Bosomtwe.

The team, led by Colonel Boah, paid a courtesy visit to the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Bosomtwe District, Hon. Lawyer Joseph K. Assuming. Following the visit, a brief meeting was held with the heads of various departments within the district. The interaction provided the GAFCSC students with insight into the administrative operations of the district and its strategic importance as a tourist hub.

Accompanied by the DCE, the group proceeded to Lake Bosomtwe, one of the district’s most prized attractions. The visit allowed the students to experience firsthand the beauty and significance of the lake, which is not only a natural wonder but also a cultural and ecological treasure for Ghana. The team expressed their appreciation for the warm reception and the opportunity to explore the district’s tourism potential.

The visit underscored the importance of collaboration between institutions such as the Ghana Armed Forces and local governments, fostering mutual understanding and development. The District Assembly, along with the Information Services Department, expressed gratitude for the visit, recognizing the role it plays in promoting Bosomtwe as a leading tourist destination.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Bosomtwe District Assembly expressed personal gratitude for the recognition of their efforts in facilitating the visit. “Long live the Information Services Department of Bosomtwe, long live the Bosomtwe District Assembly, long live the Ghana Armed Forces, and long live our motherland, Ghana!” the PRO added in a statement, emphasizing the strong bond between the Assembly and its stakeholders.

This visit marks another step in the district’s ongoing efforts to promote its rich natural and cultural heritage to both Ghanaians and international visitors.
