Bosome Freho District Assembly Cuts Sod for Four Projects to Strengthen Healthcare and Education
The Bosome Freho District Assembly has cut sod for the construction of four major infrastructure projects aimed at significantly improving access to quality healthcare and education across the district.

The sod-cutting ceremony, held in the district, was led by the District Chief Executive, Mr. Charles Appiah-Kubi, who described the projects as a critical step toward addressing long-standing gaps in health delivery and educational infrastructure in underserved communities.
The projects include the construction of two Community Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds at Nsese and Korchikrom to bring primary healthcare closer to residents, a new kindergarten block at Mamfi to enhance early childhood education, and a three-unit classroom block at Fereso to ease congestion and improve teaching and learning conditions.

Addressing community members, Mr. Appiah-Kubi called for the full cooperation of residents to ensure the successful execution of the projects within the stipulated eight-month completion period. He cautioned against acts of vandalism and petty theft at the project sites, urging community members to act as watchdogs to safeguard materials and equipment.
The DCE also appealed to the contractors handling the projects to prioritize the engagement of local labour, noting that the construction phase presents an opportunity to provide temporary employment and inject income into the local economy.
Traditional leaders from the beneficiary communities expressed appreciation to the Assembly and the government for responding to their development needs. They noted that the construction of the CHPS compounds will reduce the burden of travelling long distances to access basic healthcare, while the new school facilities will create a more conducive learning environment for children.
The ceremony attracted district assembly members, traditional authorities, opinion leaders and other stakeholders, all of whom pledged their support to ensure the projects are completed on schedule and to the required standards.
When completed, the four projects are expected to enhance healthcare delivery, improve educational outcomes and contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the Bosome Freho District.
