Bosome Freho DCE Hon Charles Appiah-Kubi Launches Four Major Infrastructure Projects in Bosome Freho
The District Chief Executive for Bosome Freho, Mr. Charles Appiah-Kubi, has officially launched four major infrastructure projects aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery and improving educational facilities across the district.
The projects were unveiled at a sod-cutting ceremony led by the DCE, marking the commencement of construction works on two Community Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds at Nsese and Korchikrom, a new kindergarten block at Mamfi, and a three-unit classroom block at Fereso.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Appiah-Kubi described the projects as a clear demonstration of the Assembly’s commitment to improving the living standards of residents through targeted investments in critical social infrastructure. He noted that access to quality healthcare and education remains central to the district’s development agenda.

The DCE urged residents of the beneficiary communities to cooperate fully with the contractors and project supervisors to ensure the works are completed within the scheduled eight-month timeframe. He cautioned against vandalism and petty theft at the project sites, stressing that community ownership and vigilance are key to the successful delivery of public infrastructure.

Mr. Appiah-Kubi further appealed to the contractors to prioritise the engagement of local labour, explaining that the projects should not only deliver infrastructure but also create short-term employment opportunities for residents during the construction phase.
Traditional authorities from the various communities expressed gratitude to the Assembly for responding to their development needs. They observed that the new CHPS compounds will bring healthcare services closer to the people, reduce travel time and costs, and improve emergency response, while the additional classroom and kindergarten blocks will enhance teaching and learning conditions for children.
The sod-cutting event brought together district assembly members, traditional leaders, opinion leaders and other key stakeholders, all of whom pledged their support towards the smooth implementation of the projects.
Upon completion, the four projects are expected to significantly improve healthcare access, expand educational infrastructure and contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the Bosome Freho District.
