Benito Mining and Engineering Company Limited CEO Urges Government, Telecom Companies to Improve Network in Numereso

The Chief Executive Officer of Benito Mining and Engineering Company Limited, Mr. Benjamin Oppong, popularly known as Benito, has appealed to the government and telecommunications companies to urgently improve network coverage in Numereso and its surrounding communities in the Amansie Central District of the Ashanti Region.
According to Mr. Oppong, the lack of reliable network connectivity poses serious security risks to residents. Community members are particularly vulnerable while working in farms or moving through bushes, as robbers often take advantage of their inability to make distress calls.

“The absence of a reliable telecommunication network compromises both the security and livelihoods of residents. Authorities must act swiftly to ensure that people in Numereso and nearby communities are protected and connected,” Mr. Oppong said.

He called on government agencies to prioritize the extension of telecommunication services to the area to enhance security, safeguard lives, and boost socio-economic activities. He further appealed to major telecommunications providers, including MTN, Telecel, and AirtelTigo, to construct telephone masts in the communities to ensure consistent and reliable network coverage.
Mr. Oppong emphasized that the poor network also negatively impacts business operations, education, and teaching and learning in the area. Entrepreneurs and students alike are unable to fully engage in online transactions, communication, or digital learning, hindering economic and educational development in the communities.
He concluded that improving telecommunication infrastructure would not only protect residents from criminal activities but also facilitate business, learning, and communication, thereby contributing to the overall growth and development of Numereso and its surrounding areas.
