Atwima Nwabiagya South MP Worships with Churches, Prays for Wisdom and Direction in Office
The Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya South, Hon. Shirley Kyei, on Sunday, January 4, 2026, worshipped with various churches in her constituency as part of a thanksgiving tour to seek God’s wisdom, guidance, and direction in the discharge of her parliamentary duties.
The church visits, which marked the beginning of her activities for the year, were intended to acknowledge God’s protection and mercies since she assumed office. Hon. Kyei expressed gratitude to God for the lives of her constituents, party executives, and all supporters who have stood by her throughout her political journey.

Addressing congregants at the Christ Apostolic Church International (CACI), Nkawie Central, the MP thanked the church leadership and members for their prayers and support during the last general elections. She acknowledged the significant role the church and faith-based communities play in promoting peace, unity, and responsible leadership within society.
Hon. Shirley Kyei used the opportunity to reflect on the 2024 general elections, noting that while she had hoped for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to retain political power, the outcome was otherwise. She, however, urged constituents not to lose hope but to remain united and supportive, expressing confidence that the party could be returned to power in the 2028 elections.
She further appealed to the people of Atwima Nwabiagya South to continue supporting her leadership, assuring them of her unwavering commitment to serve with integrity, diligence, and a strong focus on development and the welfare of constituents.

The Circuit Pastor of the church, Reverend Humphrey Assafuah, led the congregation in special prayers for the MP, constituency executives, and party faithful. The prayers centred on divine wisdom, guidance, protection, and strength for Hon. Shirley Kyei to effectively carry out her responsibilities in Parliament.
The church service concluded with words of encouragement and a pledge of continued prayers for the MP and the overall progress of the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency.
