Atwima Nwabiagya South MP, Shirley Kyei, Seeks Divine Guidance as She Tours Churches to Thank God
The Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya South, Hon. Shirley Kyei, on Sunday, January 4, 2026, embarked on a thanksgiving tour of selected churches within her constituency to express gratitude to God for His guidance, protection, and mercies since she assumed office.
The church visits formed part of the MP’s commitment to begin the year by acknowledging God’s role in her political journey and leadership responsibilities. Hon. Kyei used the opportunity to thank God for the lives of her constituents, party executives, supporters, and all individuals who have stood by her throughout her tenure as Member of Parliament.

Addressing congregants at the Christ Apostolic Church International (CACI) at Nkawie Central, the MP expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the church leadership and members for the endorsement and overwhelming support she received during the last general elections. She acknowledged that the prayers and encouragement from the Christian community played a significant role in her electoral success and ongoing service to the people of Atwima Nwabiagya South.
Hon. Shirley Kyei also reflected on the outcome of the 2024 general elections, noting that while she had hoped for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to retain political power, the results did not go in the party’s favour. Despite this, she remained optimistic and called on constituents to remain united and resolute in their support for the party, expressing confidence that the NPP would reclaim power in the 2028 general elections.
She further appealed to the people of the constituency to continue supporting her leadership, assuring them of her commitment to working diligently to address their needs and promote development across Atwima Nwabiagya South.
The Circuit Pastor of the church, Reverend Humphrey Assafuah, led the congregation in special prayers for the MP, constituency executives, and the entire party faithful. The prayers focused on divine guidance, wisdom, protection, strength, and grace for Hon. Shirley Kyei to excel in her duties as a legislator and representative of the people.

The service ended with words of encouragement from the church, reaffirming their support and pledging continued prayers for peace, unity, and effective leadership within the constituency.
