Atwima Nwabiagya North DCE Pledges to Utilise Resources for District Development

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Nwabiagya North District Assembly, Hon. Mba Zechariah Alenbilla, has pledged his profound preparedness to utilise resources to meet the needs of inhabitants of the district.
“His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has allocated 25% of the DACF to create a 24-hour economy market, 10% for schools, 10% for boreholes, 10% for CHIP compounds, and as representative of the President, I will ensure that these funds are used to fulfill the President’s vision,” he emphasized.
The DCE made this assurance in remarks during his five-day tour of the district to interact with traditional leaders, share his plans with them, and identify their needs, incorporating them into the Assembly’s Action Plan.
His visit is in conformity with Section 40 of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936).
The five working-day visit commenced on Tuesday, July 8, and will end on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
Engaging traditional leaders, Hon. Mba Zechariah Alenbilla highlighted developmental projects executed since assuming office, specifying the asphalting and reshaping of some deplorable roads.
He also mentioned the provision of farm inputs, urging traditional leaders and the public to take advantage of the government’s “Feed Ghana” programme to better their lives.
He advised individual farmers to form groups and register with the Assembly’s Agriculture office so that they can access government support for farmers.
On revenue mobilisation, the DCE appealed to traditional leaders and other stakeholders to encourage the public to pay property rates, building permits, and other levies to the Assembly, which will help execute developmental projects.
The DCE and his entourage have so far visited Asoufua, Amoaman, Akropong, Atwima Koforidua, Bokankye, Owabi, Esaase, Fufuo, Asamang, and other communities.
Traditional leaders in the communities congratulated the DCE on his new role, wished him well, and expressed their willingness to support him in delivering to satisfaction.
They cautioned against unfulfilled promises and politicisation of concerns, while urging him to show continued respect for elders and stakeholders in the district.
