The Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah has presented cheques and amount of thirty-five thousand Ghana cedis to some tertiary students from Atwima Mponua district.
These students comprise SHS graduates who have just gained admission and continuing students offering courses in various tertiary institution in the country.
In a brief ceremony to present the cheques, Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah said he is a ware of the difficulties parents go through with respect to paying off their ward fees and therefore presenting the cheques as a token to support them.
“As we do every year, today we have met here to support some tertiary students with their fees and needs.
Over the past year, I supported more students because the students in need in the constituency are many” he said”.
Immediate former Youth and Sports minister exhibited his commitment towards ensuring a high standard of education for his Constituents and beyond in a short engagement, which was held at the Betinko D/A JHS.
He appealed to the beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity given them.
On his part, Nana Frimpong Bediako asked beneficiaries to continue to pray for the Member of Parliament and also those who support him in the many project.
A beneficiary who is a student at the Christian Service University Collage of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, Owusu Bempah Edmond said “This is not the first time he is giving me that support. I am using this platform to say a very big thank you to him”
