Atwima Mponua DCE Builds Stronger Partnerships With Farmers and Beauticians

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Mponua, Hon. Ishaq Ibrahim, has renewed his call for stronger partnerships with stakeholders after holding separate engagements with two influential groups — the Association of Cocoa, Coffee and Shea Nuts Farmers and the Association of Beauticians.

The meetings, held on Monday at the Atwima Mponua District Assembly premises, formed part of the DCE’s agenda to strengthen collaboration with grassroots groups to promote inclusive development and improve livelihoods in the district.

Farmers Back Assembly’s Agricultural Drive

The first delegation to call on the DCE was the Association of Cocoa, Coffee and Shea Nuts Farmers, led by the Ashanti Regional Chairman. The farmers commended Hon. Ibrahim for his consistent support for agriculture and expressed their readiness to work closely with the Assembly to address challenges facing the sector.

They emphasized that agriculture remains the lifeblood of Atwima Mponua’s economy and called for stronger government-farmer collaboration to improve yields, expand market access, and boost farmer welfare. The farmers assured the DCE of their support for Assembly-led initiatives that focus on modernization of farming and provision of inputs to improve productivity.

Beauticians Commit to Skills Development

Later in the day, Hon. Ibrahim hosted the Association of Beauticians, who highlighted the importance of vocational skills in creating sustainable jobs, particularly for young women. The group expressed their desire to collaborate with the Assembly in implementing training and community empowerment programs.

They underscored that with adequate support, the beauty and cosmetology industry could become a significant driver of employment and income generation in rural communities. The association assured the DCE of its readiness to align with government and Assembly initiatives that promote entrepreneurship and skill acquisition.

DCE Pledges Inclusive and Sustainable Growth

In his address to the two delegations, Hon. Ibrahim expressed gratitude for their show of solidarity and pledged the Assembly’s commitment to inclusive development. He stated that real progress in Atwima Mponua can only be achieved when all sectors — agriculture, artisans, and professional associations — unite to pursue a shared vision of growth.

“Partnerships with stakeholders are central to the Assembly’s mission. Government alone cannot deliver development; it requires unity, cooperation, and contributions from every group,” the DCE said. “Together, we can build an Atwima Mponua where agriculture prospers, skills are nurtured, and opportunities are available for all residents.”

He further assured that the Assembly would continue to create platforms for dialogue and collaboration with farmers, beauticians, traditional authorities, youth, and civil society organizations to ensure that every development initiative reflects the needs of the people.

Building Stronger Partnerships for the Future

The separate engagements with farmers and beauticians reaffirmed the DCE’s inclusive leadership style and his commitment to bridging the gap between government and community stakeholders. Both groups pledged their cooperation and left the meeting with renewed determination to support the Assembly’s vision of building a prosperous, united, and sustainable Atwima Mponua District.
