Atwima Kwanwoma MP Hon. Kofi Amankwa-Manu and DCE Hon. Grace Asamoah Agyemang Commission 20-Seater WC at Nweneso No. 3
The people of Nweneso No. 3 in the Atwima Kwanwoma District have been relieved of long-standing sanitation challenges following the commissioning of a 20-seater Water Closet (WC) toilet facility in the community.

The modern sanitation facility was officially inaugurated at a brief but well-attended ceremony and is expected to significantly improve hygiene standards, enhance public health, and promote environmental cleanliness within the area.

Addressing residents during the commissioning, the Member of Parliament for Atwima Kwanwoma, Hon. Kofi Amankwa-Manu, urged the community to use the facility responsibly and take collective ownership of its maintenance to ensure its long-term sustainability. He reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the District Assembly, traditional authorities, and other stakeholders to accelerate development projects across the constituency.

In a similar message, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Grace Asamoah Agyemang, emphasized the critical role of proper sanitation in community development and public health. She appealed to residents to desist from open defecation and make full use of the newly commissioned facility. According to her, the Assembly remains committed to partnering with the Member of Parliament to provide additional social infrastructure to improve the living conditions of residents of Nweneso No. 3 and surrounding communities.
The Assembly Member for the area, Hon. Anthony Kwame Nsiah, expressed profound gratitude to the MP and the District Assembly for their continuous responsiveness to the needs of the community. He assured that residents would protect the facility and ensure its proper usage for the benefit of all.

Also speaking at the ceremony, the Chief of Nweneso No. 3, Nana Akwasi Abire II, commended the government and all stakeholders involved in the successful completion of the project. He appealed to the people to develop a strong sense of ownership and maintain the facility to serve both present and future generations.
The event was witnessed by a former District Chief Executive, Hon. Prince Karikari, chiefs from Trede, opinion leaders, and a large gathering of community members, all of whom expressed appreciation for the timely intervention.

The commissioning of the 20-seater WC forms part of ongoing efforts by the Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly, in collaboration with the Member of Parliament, to improve sanitation and enhance the overall living standards of residents across the district.
