The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Atwima Kwanwoma District, Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah, has earned yet another international accolade after being honoured with the “Most Outstanding Female Leader in Local Governance and Public Service Administration” award at the 3rd edition of the She Achievers Award ceremony held in Kigali, Rwanda.

The award ceremony, which took place at the prestigious M Hotel Kigali, brought together distinguished women leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and professionals from across Africa and other parts of the world to celebrate individuals who have demonstrated excellence, dedication, and transformative leadership in their respective fields.

Hon. Agyemang Asamoah received the honour from the Business Executive Group, organisers of the She Achievers Awards platform, which recognises women who have made remarkable contributions to governance, business, public administration, and community development.

The latest recognition marks the third international award secured by the Atwima Kwanwoma District Chief Executive within just ten months of assuming office, further highlighting her growing reputation as an influential and results-oriented leader within Ghana’s local governance system.

In her acceptance speech, Hon. Agyemang Asamoah expressed deep appreciation to the organisers for recognising her efforts and commitment to public service. She noted that leadership should be measured not only by titles or administrative achievements but by the positive impact leaders create in the lives of people.

According to her, effective leadership must remain people-centred, driven by the desire to promote inclusive development, empower communities, and create sustainable opportunities that improve livelihoods.

She also used the platform to inspire women across Africa to pursue leadership with determination and resilience, stressing that one’s background should never be a barrier to achieving success.

“Women must continue to push harder and remain determined in whatever field they find themselves. Where one comes from should never limit the heights one can attain. Hard work always brings rewards,” she stated.

Hon. Agyemang Asamoah further commended the organisers of the She Achievers Awards for creating an international platform that recognises and celebrates the contributions of women who are making significant impacts in governance, professional leadership, and public administration.

She was accompanied to the ceremony by the District Coordinating Director of the Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly, Alhaji Mohammed Shaibu, together with other officials from the Assembly.

The District Chief Executive also took the opportunity to express her gratitude to the President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, for the confidence reposed in her and for granting her the opportunity to serve as the District Chief Executive of the Atwima Kwanwoma District.

She reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to working closely with stakeholders, traditional authorities, and residents of the district to accelerate development and improve the quality of life of the people.

The recognition further reinforces Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah’s standing as a dynamic and impactful leader in local governance, whose dedication to service continues to attract both national and international recognition.
